At Home Ignatian Retreat

The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola is an 8 to 30-day silent retreat focused on growing closer to God, weeding out sin, and discovering God’s will in your life.  In the “19th Annotation” of the exercises, Ignatius says that the retreat may be adapted for those “taken up with public affairs or suitable business.”  This “at home” version spreads the content of the retreat over a longer period to make the time commitment more manageable.

This fall we will be offering a 19th Annotation style Ignatian Retreat for the community of rosary cathedral from October 1st until November 25th.  The retreat will include:

·         Training - Four training sessions will be offered in person and online. In person training will be available after Sunday Mass: 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, & 10/11.  The online trainings will be posted the following Monday in the retreat group on the parish Facebook page.
·         Reading – A book will offer additional training and guided meditations (this will be available to purchase for $5).
·         Daily Prayer – you will be asked to work up to at least 30 minutes a day of prayer, meditation, and recollection over the course of the retreat.
·         Spiritual Direction – Each participant will regularly meet with a spiritual director in person, by phone, or video call.  Each participant may use an existing spiritual director or receive an assigned director for the retreat.
·         (Optional) Facebook Group – Participants will be invited to a group on the parish Facebook page to receive encouragement, ask questions, and share their experiences.

Email Andrew Reinhart at [email protected] or call the parish office at 419-244-9575 to sign up!  To participate please sign up by September 20th or walk in to sign up at the first training on that day.
