A New Bible Study Tuesday mornings from 10:30-12:00

On February 28 we will begin a new Bible Study. This will be a Lectionary based study. That means the subject of the study will be the readings that are assigned to be proclaimed at Sunday Mass. The advantage of this type of bible study is that it will help us prepare for the readings so that we are familiar with them before they are proclaimed. Another advantage is that since we will be following the Lectionary there is no way to fall behind with the group if you should not be able to attend a session.  The studies will be lead by Deacon Mike Sarra.

On February 28 the day before Ash Wednesday we will begin with the readings for the First Sunday of Lent. This may be a great Lenten activity, which can lead to a commitment to ongoing Bible study.

A FREE small-group bible study on the Sunday Mass readings, Reflecting on Sunday’s Readings introduces participants to small-group discussion materials based on the Scripture passages used in the upcoming Sunday’s Mass. Each passage is printed along with a few questions designed to engage the heart and stimulate discussion. The monthly download is FREE and studies can be reproduced as needed. The program can be found on line at:

You can download the materials for yourself, using the option for the NAB format.
